for CS 40 Cloud Infrastructure and Scalable Application Deployment, Jan 2024 – Mar 2024
  • I designed and taught Stanford’s first intro cloud computing course, enrolling 50 students in our Winter 2024 offering. I created ten weeks of new lecture content, designed several hands-on programming assignments making use of infrastructure as code, and built a lot of custom infrastructure to help support the course.
  • We presented our work and our lessons learned along the way at the SIGCSE 2025 Technical Symposium.
President, CCDC Linux & Cloud Lead, and CPTC Web Lead at Stanford Applied Cyber

  • As President of Applied Cyber, I helped significantly grow our campus footprint by directing workshops and speaker events on web, mobile, and cloud security topics. I also helped increase the club’s budget by 10x.
  • I competed in CCDC for five years and CPTC for two years, leading Linux, cloud, and web security. We placed 1st (National Champions) at NCCDC 2023 and 2nd at CPTC9 Global Finals in 2024.
  • I spent a lot of my spare time helping the Stanford entrepreneurial community with their security posture, disclosing a number of vulnerabilities to student startups. Sometimes this involved defending myself from lawsuit threats.
  • In 2023, I co-founded the Stanford Security Clinic to offer pro-bono security consultations to the Stanford community. We presented on our work and lessons learned at BSidesSF 2025.

  • I served as a CA for Stanford’s main computer security course to help teach memory corruption, web, and network attacks and defenses to 200+ enrolled students.
  • I fully automated the programming assignment grading process by building several autograders using Gradescope in ways it was probably not intended to be used.

  • I led the infrastructure implementation to support a 170-student class with multiple jump hosts and target boxes per student on GCP. I also designed some novel labs to mimic common startup security issues at the time, such as one where students needed to leak data from a vulnerable Firebase instance fora chat app.
